Messrs A. Buckland and Sons’ Weekly Report.— At the Haymarkot, during the past week, fodder has brought from 2s <o 3s the cwt* delivered to the buyer; oats. Is 9d to 2s; maize, 2s lid : wheat, 2s lOd the bushel at the store, n Friday there was a very full, muster of herse stocK, which were in fair demand. Useful horses brought from £6 to £ll each; a spring cart, £lO 10s; light buggy, £9103; harness, £3 5s and £3 2s 6d. At the cattle sales, held respectively at Pokeno on Monday aud Drury on Thursday, the number yarded was less than usual: prices were firm, particularly for young cattle. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday hides were in increased number, and cow hides were lower about Id; ox hides brought irom 3d to 4sd; cow hiJes, 1»i to lfo ; calf skins, up to 4d the lb; taliow. 17s 6d the cwt; pelts and skins brought from Is to ss; lambskins. Is 3d io 2s 4d each : wool, in bags, Pom 5d to 8d the b. At the wool sa'e on Wednesday 478 bales were Catalogued, and the few lots passed at the auction have with one exception been since sold. Prices for merino varied from 8d to 9’d,crossbr d7Jd to 91d,long wool to Ed the lb showing that the prices of the previous sale were sus ained. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cat.tl - in short supply, were no better wonh. Store cattle sod freely: holder- of younir cattle would now find a sati-factory mark et. Fat cattle were yarded in full number, but were generally light weights; prices were firm at last week s va ues. excepting cows of middling quality, these were lower. Steers brought from 15s to 17s ; cows, from Ss to 14s the 1001 b; steers ranged in ; rice from £llos to £7 17s 6d; cows, £llss to £slos; fat calves, in short supply, were better worth, they brought from 15s to 303 each. Fat sheep scarcely kept their late prices wetheis ranged from 10s 91 to 14s 3d ; ewes. 6s to 9s each; fat lambs,unusually plentiful, were not lower than last vveek, prices were from 6s 6d to 12s each; store cues in limited numbers, brought from 4s to as <a - h; pigs were of goort quality and short of requirement, consequently sold satisfactorily.
