The first day’s racing of the Whangarei County Racing Club’6 Meeting yesterday resulted : Trial Stakes of 20sovs, one mile.— Premier, 6st (Priest), 1 ; Sirloin, Bst 21b (Lindsay), 2; Deception, 6st 91b (McKenzie), 3. Whangarei Racing Club Handicap, one mile aDd three-quarters.—Haricot, Bst (Weal), 1; Premier, 6st (Priest), 2 ; Dick, 6st 121 b, 3. The second day’s racing on Saturday was well attended. Results,: Handicap Maiden Plate of ISsove. One mile and a distance.—Vampire, 1; Nosegay, 2 ; Deception, 3. Kensington Park Handicap of 30sovs. One mile and a quarter.—Holly, 1 ; Highland Mary, 2 ; Pink Rose, 3. Northern Steeplechase Handicap of 35sovs, about three miles.—Guy Fawkes, 1; Titoki, 2 ; Tawhaio, 3. Publicans’ Purse of 20sovs, 1 mile and a half. Deception, 1; Haricot, 2 ; Dick, 3. Auction Stakes of 20sovs, one mile.— Sirloin, 1; Lady Lonsdale, 2..Farewell Handicap of ISsovs.—Sirloin, 1; Highland Mary, 2. ’ The Hurdle Race oil the .-first day fell to Guy Fawkes. SCRATCHING OF RECLUSE. Recluse has been scratched for all engagements at the Summer Meeting of the : Wellington Racing Club.
