Nbws< is to hand of a sad accident which • occured this 'morning afc Helensville, which resulted in the death of a French- ■ man named Henry Renard.- It appears that he was employed afc 'Messrs Douglas Bros.' sawmill, and was engaged, working on the slip draWing up the logs. - The exact manner in which the accident occurred does notrseenrto *have" heen" noticed, but it is supposed that he was struck with a chain -'* which" must • have slipped. . He was found lying dead on fche Blip with his : head < split open. Deceased leaves a wife and- two • children.
