Masonic Installation.

On Friday evening las.fc the annual installation of officers of the . Masonic Lodge Te Arohn, 497, 5.0., took place in the Masonic Hall at 8 p.m. There was a large attendance qf members of the Loiige and visiting brethren. The Loilge was opened in .Uj? first degree by the U.W.M., Bio. C. B. Pyno, when Bro. UevJns'.llill, D.D.QM. (Canterbury) entered,- und roccived, with due

honours. The Lodge was then passed anil raised to the third degree, when he proceeded with the installation ceromonv, Bros. W. Adams and R. Harris, P M.'s acting as presenting officprs. The Mas-fcer-elect, Bro. H. Crump; was then duly installed as I , Right Worsliipfnl Master for-the enß'aing year. The following are the names of the other officers, most of whom we're and invested.: Bro. C. 8: Pyjne/1.F.M.; Bro. IT. Pavitt, P.M.Dep.M. ; Bro.' C. Ahier, &üb, M. ; Bro. E. W. Hftnmor, S.W.j Bro. A. A. Smith, J.W.; Bro. J. A. Dobson, P.M., 'Secretary a* nd Tieasarer.; Bro. J. Comes, S.l>.; Bro. A. Ai Wallace,' J.D.; Bro. D. Whitburn, 1.G.; Bro. E. W. Hanraer. Organist,; 'Bro. L. Newton, Tyler. The" installation ceremony and subsequent charges were delivered in a most solemn, impressive, ' and in.stmctive manner, The Lodge was then lowered and closed, after which the Brethren were invited by the newly-installed officers to a little light refreshment, when the usual loyal and masonic toasts were proposed an t responded to, and a most enjoyable hour was spent till 11 p.m. — Supplied.
