DRAUGHT ITEMS. It has been arranged the Town and Country match shall take place in Auckland on Now Year's Eve. Messrs Blakey and Gunbhorp have been appointed tho committee for the Town team, and circulars have been forwarded to leading draughts players in the country. Any who wish to play for the country, and yet may not have received a circular, may receive one upen forwarding their names to the Draughts Editor, Star Office. Messrs Gordon Durward and Benjamin Pirie, of Aberdeen, have arranged to play a match at an early date. The match between Mr Gray and Mr Salton has been won by Mr Gray, Mr Salton having failed to score a win in ten games. It was brought to a close on the evening of the Bth instant.
