SATISFACTORY CRUSHING AT THAMES FROM TRY FLUKE AND OTHER CLAIMS. Thames, Last Night.
The Konotunu crushings have been finished at the Moanatairi Battery, and all resulted very satisfactorily indeed. Four tons were crushed from the Try Fluke claim, but the result has not been j disclosed, though report states the yield was between 17 and 20 ounces per ton. Two tons of quartz from the Otaina. claim, produced J3oz lOlwt gold, which with 9oz lOilwt previously obtained from the picked stone, makes a total return of 230z gold. This was subsequently reduced-oil melting to 220 a lOJwfc.
