MALARIA THE CAUSE OF DEATH.
New York, December 7. Jefferson Davis died from a severe attack of malaria, which was brought on by a chill. The event ib deeply mourned in the South. It is hoped that Jefferson Davis will be buried on tho Bite of the old White House at Richmond.
