RIVER BOARD.
A meeting ol the River Board was hel<! •it the closo of the Council. Present — Messrs Moore (chairman), Nieho'is, Dearie, Uobson, and Quinn. The minutes of tho previous meeting were rear! and confirmed. Correspondence : From P. Cock, asking the Board to gr.int him a site for erecting a goods shed near the Paeroa whurf, and stating he was prepared to pay a fair rent per annum for same. Similar applications were real fmm Captain Syim and Mr E. Edwards (Ciptain and Agent of the e.s. Ruby, respectively). Resolved that the applications bo granted on condition that no Htornge fees he chargexi ; rent of sites to bo £2 per annum. Keßolved on the motion of Mr Robson, That Mr Firth and Thames liiv-r St»:iMiboit Company fie notified that they must eithet reniovo their stores, or pay rent at the rate of £2 per annum each.
