An Extending Clothes Prop.
Amongst gome novelties in minor in ventions the Ironmonger notices the extending clothes prop here illustrated. Ib has been brought out by W. B. Fordham & Sons (Limited), York Road, King's Cross, London. The article consists merely of two pieces of white deal secured by a molal band ; ay required, the outer pole extends by grades of 6 inches from 6 feet to a maximum length ot 11 feet, being kept in position by a stout; wooden peg. When not in use as a prop the uprights may be taken apart and laid on two chairs, making a clothes-horse, an advantage where drying space is limited. The prop is strongly finished, and should find favour with housewives, if only on account of the com pacmesB which the unsightly article in general use lacks.
