THE LONDON SCANDAL AN EDITOR ARRESTED. ANOTHER SUDDEN DEPARTURE.
London, November 23. Mr Parke, editor of the " North Londo n Press," has been arrested at the instance of the Earl of Euston for connecting t.he latter' s name with the recent hor rible scandal discovered in a private club at the West End. Substantial bail was demanded, and this was pot forthcoming.
LoNnpN, November 24. The JSai'l of Euston has been granted leave tp proeeoute Mr Parke. The latter does nob hesitate tp face the prosecu^O." which haß been instituted, and asserts that Mr J. B. Monrp, Chief Commissioner of Police, threatens to resign, unless he is allowed by the Cabinet to prosecute the persons accused. In the meantime Lord Arthur Somerset Holland, keeper of the house, has bolted.
