ROASTED TO DEATH. A SHOCKING OCCURRENCE. Mas rerton, Nov. 18,
The three-year-olddaughter of Mr Cameron, contractor, lost her life last night through a fire which broke ouh during the absence of the mother, who leifc her in bed asleep at halt - past Be\en, whilst vi-iting a relative close by. She was only absent a few minutes, and on returning found the bed in flames. The chid was nearly roasted, but was still alive She lingered two hours. Dr. Milne attended her, but could do nothing. A baby in a cot in the same room was uninjured The house was one of four rooms, and was insured in the National Office for £100. The furniture and content's weie all destroyed and weie uninsured. Cameron had sixty pounds of money in the houee, which means that his pecuniary loss is equ.il to £200.
