Josey Darby, fche champion distance jumper of the world, Jias been doing some extraordinary things lately. He was the principal attraction at a Free Gardeners' " «te near Dudley lately, and, by desire jumped against the world's three jumps re-" cord, which stands at 39ft. lm. He accomplished the wonderful distance of 41ft lin HealsojumpedagainsfcthefourjumDsrecord' viz., 53ft. 4m made by H. M. Johnson, of ' America, and accomplished 56ft. 2in. The champion then jumped against the ten - jumps record, which stands at 120ffc. 3in. s when he completely smashed this record up • J>y Joing the extraordinary distance of 137 ft. 7m., thus beating the. record by 17ffc_.
