AUCKLAND MINING EXHIBITS. Auckland; Nov. 8.
1 or some time past the Auckland Chamber of Commerce have been busily collecting, through Messrs J. Young and Adam Porter, specimens of mining ores from the various Coromandel Peninsula and Te Aroha mines for shipment to the forthcoming New Zealand E xhibibion at Dunedin. They have already shipped a large and repre;j senfcative collection of ores, of which the following is a list : — Moanataiari : 3 cases fair sample mineralised ore; quartz is now being taken from the various \ reefs in the mine. Lone Hand : 2 cases mineralised and picked stone. Cambria : 2 cases fair sample of ore now being obtained, and highly mineralised samples. Alburnia: 1 case fair sample of ore. Prince Imperial : 1 case mixed ore. Saxon : 1 case ordinary milling quart?. New Alburnia : 1 case ordinary crushing-. Waiotahi : 2 cases mineralised and assorted. New Manukau : 1 case fair sample of reef. Ivuranui : < 1 box handsome low grade. Fergusson's Syndicate : 1 box good stone. Cham Dion : 3 cases showing samples of ore from all parts of the mine. Ruakaka : 1 case galena. Martha : 1 case. Marototo : 1 box rich silver ore. Silver Queen : Small sample very rich silver ore. Kenilworth : 1 case. Martha Reef : 1 case. Shephards Tribute : very rich ore. Crown : 1 box picked stone, Messrs Potts and McLean (Moanataiaii). Silverton : 1 box sample ore. Try Fluke : 1 case picked ore from low level, 1 parcel from No. 2 reef surface level. Carbine : 1 case from 7 feet reef. Red Mercury : 1 case from 3 feet reef. Great Mercury : 5 parcels from di&erent parts of the mine. Vizard's : 1 box picked stone. There are also several parcels manganese, antimony and iron ore. The samples from Coromandel have not arrived to date, bub are expected to be in time for shipment next Thursday.
