A capital representative collection of mining exhibits for the Dunodin Exhibition were on view at the Chamber of Commerce to-day ; six being from the Champion mine. Tin, Te Aroha.

DROWNING ACCIDENT. A lad named Hard wick fell overboard a timber scow at Man^awai and was drowned, notwithstanding a gallant attempt made by the cook of the scow to rescue him.
