Sir Thos. Gratlan Esmonde, MP. for South Dublin, one of the three Irish delegates who aniv«d in Auckland on Sunday, delivered an address on the subject of Home Rule for Ireland, in To Aioha Public II all last evening. Sir Wm. Wastenoys presided, and there was a good attendance. Sir Thos Esmonde spoke for about three quarters of an haur, and received a most attentive hearing. Owing to pressure cf other matter we inu^t hold over a report of the meeting for our next issue. In order to make room for several articles respecting tho To Aroha Silver and Gold Mining Company's reduction works and property generally, we aro compelled to hold over a quantity of other matter, local and otherwise, for a future issue. Referring again to that Company we would add that tho present directors are : Messrs W. R. Wilson, W Jamioson, W. B. Macgrogor, W. Knox, J. Ilowell, and M. B. Janneson. All those gentlemen are largely interested in tho Broken Hill and other very valnablo mining properties, have unlimited capital at their command, and have great experience in mining matters generally. Better still, they aro posseessed of any amount of 'go' and enterprise, and not afraid to lay out very large sums of money before looking for returns, provided thero is a satisfactory prospect of tho venture proving remunerative. They havo been the means of bringing mining operations to a high state of efficiency in Australia, and lire tke right stamp to develope tho resources and advance tho general prosperity of any conntry.
