London, October 29.' Mr Bradlaugh will leave for fibmbay on the 14th of next month, for the benefit of his health. The Duke of Edinburgh, who was unable to be present at the funeral of the King of Portugal, has recovered. The dock companies have agreed to ■ abolish middlemen, but will themselves pay representatives to superintend the discharge of cargoes, the dockmen to appoint and pay gangers out of " contract price. The object of the dockmen is to gradually secure the right; to contract direct with shippers. The alteration involves an annual loss of ' to the dock companies. A partial strike is expected at Wap- , ping, owing to the wharfingeis resisting the compromise arrived at by the Mam ion House Committee. Matters in dispute between the Dockers at the Albert Dock and their employers have been settled. The Tenants' Convention met at Thurle^Tipperary, yesterday. MrSexton presided. It was resolved that a rate of 3d in the £ should be levied on the rateable value of all holdings. According to latest advices the atrocities reported as having been taking place at Crete have ceased. Sebastopol has been reserved entirely as a military port. The commerce hitherto associated with Sebastopol will be removed to Feodosia. The miners in France who recently went out on strike for increased pay aie resuming work. The London press applaud the utterances of Sir Henry Parkes on the occasion of his recent visit to Brisbane, in which he said he had come to the conclusion that for the future the Government of Australia should be nothing short of a Dominion Parliament in a Dominion of Australia. The Australian colonies, he considered, should be created a Dominion, with one, elective Parliament. He favoured a great convention of the different assemblies of Australasia, lepresenting all parties, to form the basis of a federal Government.

Thursday Island, October 29. Information has been received that the Rev. Mr Savage, a missionary native teacher, and a crew of the London Mission vessel Mary, visiting the natives at Debeer, on the east side of Kewei, New Guinea, have been massacred. No further details are to hand.
Sydney, Ocfc. 30. The Payment of Members Bill and the Bill for Abolition of Imprisonment for Debt have passed their third reading in the House of Assembly.
Brisbane, Oct. 30. The stonewall set up against the proposed loan of one million for railway purposes, still continues.
