On the 23rd ultimo, the Gray-Houston match was brought to a conclusion, one game being played during the evening which resulted in a draw. Thia left MiGray the winner with a score of 5£ points to 3i out of a possible 10. We understand that the match was played not only for a monetary stake, but also for the right to hold the "Le Fevre " Cup. The following is the score of firat game of the match :—: —

Wyllie and Henderson. Played at the Melbourne Draughts Club on Saturday, September 2lst.

Arrangements are now being made for a match Town v. Country. The last one was very successful, and it is hoped to make these matchea an annual affair. It is suggested that the one this year should take place during Jubilee week. Country clubs willing to take part in the match ■hould forward notification as soon as possible in order to have a voice in the arrangements.
