Fkom Mb Wsr. ITaddowJ J P,, of Nelson :— ' Allow me to add my testimony to the value of the Te Aroha Hot Springs. A fortnight ago I arrived here, suffering from insomia. I wfia advised to begin by using No. 6 bath. This I continued to do for the first few days, taking a bath both morning and evening. Latterly I have used No. 2 bath, and this, combined with the admirable shower batlis an.d drinking the mineral water, hap had ( a beneficial .eft'ocfc upon my health, which I am glad to say has been thoroughly restored. I am oonvinced tho merits of your springs and mineral waters only require to be more widely known lo be greatly appreciated and patronised by numbers of of visitors and invalids who as yet are unacquainted \fith their wonderful ! curative properties." ' J Mb Josiah TproiiEN.'Gisborne, makes the following entry in the Visitors' Book at the Domain ' Board's office: — "I brought Mis Tutchen here quite helpless, so much so that I had to carry her out of her bedroom to the bath chair. By the end of the first, week her henlth had so much improved that she was not only able to proceed to the baths by herself but able to walk about the grounds without I assistance. The impiovemcnt continued durthe sefond week, an i by the end of the third week her health was so restored through the use of the baths that we left for home, ns she believed hei^elf quite cured from that painful affliction — rheumatic fever. The bath used by Mrs Tutchen wns No. 2, with electric battery ; No. 3 bath-house."

pENEWAL OP LEASE. The gi£»<'Hitic success and patronage axtended to the Auckland branch ot: Stewart Dawson & Co., the well-known Watoh Manufacturers, of Liverpool and London, by the inhabitants of New Zealand, since the month of April, 1884, has been so encouruging that, notwithstanding the present depression of trade in New Zealand, they ha\ c .signed a renewal of the lease of their present Auckland piemises, so well known as S'lewart Dawson & Co's Grand English \Vatch Exhibition at 94, Queenstreet. As S.D. and Co. have enjoyed a good share of the prosperity of N.Z.. they dy) not mean to run away till better tines come ; but to meet the circumst.inces, and being aware of tho fact that in times of depression it is more necessary than ever that the working man should have a good timekeeper, they have reduced the prices of the working-man's Watches to the very lowest po'-'-iblc margin.
