LATEST FROM AUCKLAND. BOARD OF EDUCATION. SUCCESSOR TO INSPECTOR FIDLER APPOINTED. AUCKLAND. Last Night. .
At the meeting of the Board of Education this afternoon, a choice of Inspector, to take the post recently resigned by Mr Fidler, was made. After a ballot, Messrs Fidler, Dickenaon, and Slonion, were chosen from thirteen names sent in, and the final vote resulted in Mr Dickenson's appointment. The vote for a temporary Inspector resulted in tho appointment of Mr Fidler, unanimously.
