AUCKLAND TATTERS ALL'S CLUB.

At the annual meeting of Auckland Tabtersall's Club which takes place this month, a new rule is to be parsed giving the Committee power to adjudicate on all wagers laid at totalizator odds, provided the same do not tefer to any races held within 20 miles of Auckland, and to further alter the rules so that disputes in all classes of sport can be dealt with by the Committee, which will avoid a repetition of the unpleasantness that took place in connection with the recent Zealandia Handicap. The matter of licensing bookmakers is also to be b^ousrhb forward, by the following new rule?, to be proposed by Air John Marshall : — 1. No member shall be entitled to lay odds until he shall have obtained a licence from the Committee authorising him to do so, and paying tne sum of two pounds two shillings annually. 2. Members not oualified as abore, who are desirous ot being licensed under these rules, must send their names to tho Committee accompanied by the sum of two p mmis two shillings), who may grant or refuse such application, according to their dis retion. 3. If an vUcpn^ed member fail to pay his animal subscription, d eon the Ist October in each ypar, 6r' if. in the opinion of the Commiltee, he has wilfully infringed the Rules or Bye-Jaw? of the Club, or has misconducted himself m or out of the Club, the Committee may, at their d sortition, cause his license to be cancelled, ajid notice thereof posted in the Club Hoona.
