In the conrse of the proceedings of the "Warden's Court, at Thames on Ihursday last, Mr Northcroft said that in future when granting Kcensed holdings or special claims which were situated on native lands, a clause would be inserted in all the deeds to the effect that all persons working in +hese holdings must be the holders of £1 mine™' rights. According to the Mining Act Amendment Act, it' was not compulsory for wages men or tributes to be the possessors of a miner's right, but in future, where the minpfl were granted on native lands, it would be necessary for them to see that eveiy wages man ov
tributer employed h the holder of £1 right. The Warden added, however, that tins only referred to those holdings or special claims which may be granted in the future, and did not affect those now in existence.
