Messrs Aktiiuu and Buddlk's Weekly Repokt.—During the early part of tlio week there was but little produce of any kind on hand. No good table potatoes, for which there was a large demand ; Beedand email po'atoes are now difficult to move oil' at any price. No cheese to hand until yesterday ; good quality id wanted. Giain has been in fair demand. Onions continue to be very scarce. Vegetables of all kinds sold well at Friday's sale. Good well got up bicon is in demand at fair prices. There was a good supply of all kinds of produce at Friday's auction market. A large audienco ; good competition and prices. Fresh butter \\ as entered i 1 large quantities ; prices \ cry low. The supply of trui f has been small. Apple?, if in good condition, bring a high price. There was a good supply ot poultry. Fowls sold at high prices {'.turkeys sold well, so did ducks; there was no geese entered. A good number of pigs were entered; prices ruled high, There were no pea fowls or guinea fowls entered; there is a demand. No pigeons brought forwaid; but few canaries. There has been an improvement in demand for furniture, etc. There is an inquiry for small farms within an easy distance of the city, also for city propcrtios of certain description. There have been only five silos by auction this woc-k : Monday, household fornitnrj and eU'rcts at private' residence of Mr A. A. Paitridgc, Vincent-street ; there was very full attendance, and prices were very satisfactory, Tuesday and Friday, poultry, pics, produce, fruit, gio'^eries. etc., at the mart. Wednesday, piano, hong 'hold furniture and effects at the mart ; a fair attendance and business done. Thursday, di apery, clothing, etc., at the mart ; there was a good supply of goods, but few bus ers. BuCKr.AND AND SON'S 1 WkKKLY IIEPOUT.-Atthc Haymarkit meadow hay has ranged from 1* 9d to 3s 3d : oaten sheaves, 3s 9cl the cwt : chafF, £3 10s to £4 tho ton ; wheat, 3, ; oafs, 3s 3d the bushel. On Friday horse stock were yarded in greater numbers than for several weeks : prices fairly sustained. Useful riding horses ranged from £9 to £15 ; riding stock, from £3 to £10; a soring cart brought £17. dray £5. At the hide aid skin sale on Tuesday prices were firm. Ox hides brought from 3Jd to 3id ; covr hides. l"d to 2U\ the lb ; tallow, 17s to 18s 6d the cwt ; butchers' skins. 3s 8d to 6s 4d ; lambs' skins, 9d to Is 6d each. At tho Pukekoho cattle sale on Monday last stock was in full numbers. There was free bid- ing throughout the sale, particularly for dairy cows at profit, which advanced in price about 20s each higher than previous months market, but nil stock sold satisfactorily. At Itemuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle in fair inquiry, and at lac valuo3. Store cattle also kept their price. Fresh stores at full values. Kat cattle in average supply, were better worth than last week Is 6d tho 1031b, and were from 16s to 18s tho 1001b. Young fat calves plentiful, and brought from 8s to 14s each Sheep, in full supply, kept their \ a'ues ; longwoolled wethers ranged from 16s to 23s each; 782 wethers averaged 17s 6d. Lanibg plentiful ; prices ranged from 8s to 13s. Dairy-fed porkers. 22s to 265 ; heavy pigs, up to 465 ; coarse fat pigs, 12s to 23s each.
