Tell me, tell me, can such Peace Give from pain a brief release : Docs Happiness love him the best I Is it he, b< fore whose eyes Fancy, with her magic light, Robes the mists in rainbows blight,. Gilding sad realities With ideal hues that show ; Rarely, faintly here below— Tell me, if thou hast this lore. Is he right, or doth he err Who boldly may to Truth aver, I love my tender dreaming niore ? Is it not that Happiness Conies not with the wisdom gained. Loves not fancy overstrained— Nor tb dullards gives redress For the gifts to them denied : But is oftenest at his side Who to others her hath given 1 L Who hath done what in Trim lay To drive pain or want away Seeing tnus a glimpse of Heaven ?
