Messrs A. Buckland and Sons' Weekly Report.— At the Haymarket during the past week hay ranged in price from 2s to 4s 3d the cwt ; maize, 2s 8d to 3a : barley, 2s 7d and 2s 9d ; wheat, 3s ; oats, 2s 6d to 3s 6d the bushel ; potatoes, £1 17s 6d to £3 10s per ton ; chaff, £3 15s the ton ; woolpacks, 2s 6d caoh. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, prices were firm. Good ox hides ranged from 3*d to 4M; cow hides, 3}d and 3Jd: calfskins. 4dto 4gd the lb; tallow, 14s to 21s cwt: butchers* skins, from 4s to 6s Id each ; avool, 61d to 7Ad per lb. On Friday a small miißter of horse stock maintained late values. Heavy draught ranged from £17 to £20; medium draught, £6 10s to £11 ; riding horses, from £3 to £8 each. At Papakura, on Wednesday, the wet weather occasioned but a small muster of stock. Prices were without alteration. At Rerauera on Thursday, dairy cattle were numerous. Prices ranged from £2 to £4 ba each. Store cattle in moderate supply scarcely obtained the values ruling last week. Fat cattle in full supply were lower than last week about 2s 6d the 1001b. Prices were from 15s to 16s the 1001b. Sheep in full numbers sold irregularly, but on the whole advanced in price. Good wethers ran ?cd trom 15s to 18s. and one pen reached 21s bd each; but hoggets in fair condition were at 11s. Lambs from Waikato were too young for the market, and brought from 4s to 7s, but those from the neighbourhood 10» 6d to 12s each. Pigs were yarded plentifully, but sold freely at full prices. Messrs Arthur and Buddles Weekly Report.— Business has been greatly retarded by the very broken state of the weather up to Friday, when a change took place for the better in the weather, and also in business. The sale that day was well attended by buyers, and firstclass prices were obtained. The supply was not at all equal to the demand. A much larger quantity of good table potatoes could have been sold ; there has been a large demand during the week ; the demand for seed potatoes is nearly over. Good onions are wanted. A demand for all kinds of vegetables. A fair demand for gi am. Well got up Bacon moves oit at lair prices. Fresh butter of good quality sell's freely; more could have been disposed of. Eggs have sold well. Honey in tins and sections is wanted. Furniture at private house sales brought fair prices, but little business done at, the mart. There is an improvement in demanri for freehold propcrt-es. Poultry have brought high prices ; there was not a large supply of fowls, but few ducks, no turkeys or geese ; thcro was a largs, unsatisfied demand. A good number of pigs were entered, and all suld at first-class prices; fiedres-ed porkers advertised did not come to hand, no doubt delayed by the weather. Fruit in small supply; apples have sold at high price*. Groceries, oilmen's stores, etc., brought good prices at the ciearing-out sale of the stock of Messrs J. Potter and Co.. Durham-street. There have been nine sales by auction this week. Monday, by order of the Sheriff, twentythree acres ot land near Coromandel sold at ±105. Monday, city freehold properties in Nelson and Chapel - street!. There was fair competition for the Nelson-street lot, but bidding did not quite reach the reserve ; both are still open for sale at very low prices. Monday: Balance of an assigned stock of boots, shoes, etc., at. the Mart; the attendance was good, and pricr3 very satisfactory. Tuesday and Friday, atthe Mart : Poultry, pitrs, produce, fruit, and groceries. Tuesday, at Wesley Hall, Pitt-street: Balance of a sale of ork. Wednesday, at the store of Messrs J. Potter and Co., Durham-street: Their stock of groceries, oilmen's stores, brushware, etc. There was a erood attendance of the trade, and fair competition. Wednesday, at Mart: Piano, household furniture, etc. Not a larpe business done ; the pi>uio breujfht £25. Thursday, at the residence of Mrs J. Fernandez, Norfolk-street, Ponsonby : Household furniture and effects. A very full attendance, and prices wcic upon the whole good. Potatoes: Good table, 4s 6d to ss; medium, 3s Cd to 4s ; seed, 2s to 3s 6d ; new kidney, H.d to lid per lb. Cauliflowers, Is 5d to 5s per sack. 3s per dozen ; cabb'aeres, 3s 3d to 3s sd ; red carrots, 2a 7d to 3s. and 7d to B§d per dozen ; white, 2s 6d; parsnips, 9d per dozen ; turnips. 3s Is to 3s lOd per back, and 5d per dozen ; rhubarb, 7s 6d.
