The Folly of Worry.
It is not work that kills, bub worry. Ib is nob the revolution that destroys the machinery, bub friction. Work is good for the soul, good for the body and good for bhe mind. If you want a good appetite, don'b worry. If you want a healthy body, do nob worry. If you want to stand well with yourself and the world, and wane things to go right in your own home and your business, do nob worry. If you wanb to size up to 100 cents, on the dollar, do nob worry. The faculty of looking on the bright side of life and making the best of things is a fortune to anyone. Fretting only deranges one's temper, excites unpleasant feelings towards everybody and confuse? the mind. If things go wrong one day, there will be opportunities to righb them on the days coming ; and it is a good thing to just leb bhings bake their course and not get discouraged. Women have a sea of trouble over their housekeeping, and they allow the merest brides to harass bhem inbo ill-temper and nervousness, which is tho bane of the American woman. Dirt and disorder in the household are the cause of the most nervousness. The housewife hates dirt, and begins a new campaign against it every morning and hunts ib down wherever it hides itself. This would be healthy exercise if she would not worry, but worry is worse than dirt and disorder. They had bebber live ankle deep in dirt, bake things as they come and be contented than live in grandeur and worry. This life is ju?b what one makes ib. If we worry through the world it stings us. If we grasp it by the hand and get hold ot some ol the sunshine that brightens it, ib will be the besb friend one can have. Do nob worry. Do nob geb discouraged. The world is full of human sympathy. If you lose your way or fall down, a large portion of the human family will be ready bo pick you up and show you bhe way if they know of your need. Cultivate a spirit of patience. Culbivate a habib of gebting all the enjoyment bhab your circumstances will permit. Cultivate a cheery disposition that will dispel worry as the sun dispels the dew. Never trouble trouble till trouble troubles you, and you will find phat life is worth living and that the world is nob so bad place afber all. Behind the cloud the starlight lurks ; Through showers the sunbeams fall ; For God, who lovcth all His works. Has left His hope with all. " — 'Albany Journal.'
