The great sculling match for the championship of the world, a-sHe and the London " Sportsman " Challenge Cup, valued at 200 guineas, between Henry Ernest ' Searle, of Clarence River, New South Wales, and Wilham O'Connor, of Toronto, Canada, the champion of America, took place today over the Thames course. , The match gave rise to the greatest excitement. Searle was an easy victor, winning the match with ten lengths to spare.
