CUSTOMS REVENUE. ANOTHER INCREASE. Wellington, September 3.
The Customs revenue for August amounted to £142,676, against £136,625 for the same month last year and £126,015 for July last. The amounts collector) at the principal ports were : — Auckland, £57,674 ; Wellington, £23,560; Christchurch, £23.100; Dunedin, £38,692. The beer duty for August was £4,096 against £3,623 for the same month la.-t year. Auckland contributed, £856 ; Wellington, £494 ; Christchurch, £949 ; Dunedin, £852.
