At the country cattle sales held icspeclively at Pukckoho and Papakura, cattle were raided nioro numerously than last month, and prices were linn. At Kcmucra, on Thursday, all descriptions of stock were in full numbers. Good cheese is much wanted. The heavy stock of salt butter has been le-s^ned, but low prices had to be taken. Fresh butter in fair supply and in good demand ; also fresh-laid eggs Onions are scarce ; high prices can be got for good samples. Frjit. A lair supply of apples,; high prices were obtained. Poultry ' A fair number hi fowl 1 ? entered, and sold well. Not many diteks and geese. Prices were high. The turkeys entered were small. Pigs so'«L well.
