LATEST FROM AUCKLAND. SECOND ARREST OF D. C. ORCHARD ON CHARGE OF FORGERY. AUCKLAND, Last Night.
Daniel C. Orchard appeared at the Police Oourt this morning, and was charged that on the 7th June, at Auckland, he did feloniously, and with intent to defraud, forge a certain P. N". forL2s, He was remanded for one week, bail being fixed at two suroties of L 25, and one of L5O. In consequence of the small amount of bail upon which accused was liberated a fresh information was sworn against Orchard. This afternoon Detective Hughes «gain arrested Orchard upon a charge of having forged an order for payment of £35, using the name of Thomas Slator. The prisoner was brought up at the Police Court agnin this afternoon and remanded for a week on this charge also, bail being refused.
