HOME RULE. LETTER FROM MR R. COAD.
The following letter has been addressed to the Secretary of the Home Rule Committee in Auckland by Mr R. Goad, who is now conducting a misson here under the auspices of the New Zealand Alliance ;— " 320, Victoria Arcade,
Auckland, August 23, Dear Sir, — I should be most happy to receive the Auckland Home Rule Committee, but my time is co much taken up that I have not a minute to spare ; but of this you may rest assured, —at our next election Mr Gladstone will have a large majority returned with him in favour of granting Homo Rule to Ireland. There is amongst the masses of the people of England a profound sympathy growing for the Irish people, and a powerful hatred to the doings of the present Government;. Home Rule, such as will satisfy the best people in Ireland, will be granted much j sooner than many in this colony think. — Yours truly, R. Goad." Wm. Jennings, Honorary Secretary, H.R.C.
