OTAGO GOLOFIELDS. Dunedin, August 26.

Several good finds have been made by partiesof Chinese workine the river beaches. One party made £17 each for five days' work. One man made £15 in two days. The .deep lead find at Tinker's is confirmed. The Dunstan " Times " aays the strata are good through, 1 and alternate from fine gravel to clay. Gold is obtained in the gravel in every prospect tried. At 130 feet and below the surface level the prospects began to improve on to the lowest depth obtained when a prospect was got which convinced the prospectors that a rich find was struck. On dit that the Shotover big beach is to be formed into a company, with a capital of £160,000. .Shares are now at £150.
