The zephyr kisses the dainty rose. The rose that blooms alone on the lea ; O, would- that I, like that gentle wind, Could fly on wings of love to thee. The .zephyr may toy with the rose 'an hour, Then spread its wings far o'er the sea ; But 1, dear love, for ever and ever Will kiss the soul of my Mionee. I'll be more true to my dainty rose Than zephyrs roaming across the sea; Only one rose shall lio on my heart, And thou arc that rose, fair Mionee. Kind summer comes with the opal dawn, And she laughs to sleep each fair weo rofce ;' But never a aun that kisses the west, And never a, zephyr that gently blows Can love like me, my own sweet flower, That grows in God's fair realm for me— I'll be the dun of thy life, dear love," And lovo theo for ever, my Mionee. I'll bo moro true to my dainty rose Than sunbeams glinting across the sea ; Only one rose shall lio on my heart, And thou art that rose, fair Mionee.
