At the Tailings Plant the Boss pans are being cleaned ont preparatory to a fresh start being made. Last week a meeting of the Wernhiko Public Hall shareholders was held af. the Wrtiorongomai Hotel, but as there was not a quorum present the business transacted was not important. A, somewhat ludicrous incident occurred to-dny, Mr Jamieson was engaged hauling out some logs on the side of the hill opposite Hie Alameila shaft, when the horse taking fright with a log attached, bolteJ down bbc lull at a furious rate, and

brought itself up by rolling Eeete over head in the County drain, about ahuntiretl yards from where it started. He was extricated without much difficulty, and appeared to be none the worse for his a> I venture.
