MINING NEWS. GOLD DREDGING IN OTAGO.
Dunjcdin, August 10. An Arrowtown telegram to tho "Star" says that splendid dredging prospects have been obtained on the beaches and Hat of Kawarua, between the Moaven Ferry and the mouth of the Shotover Gold Company's mine on the surface. A sevei'e fro&t so dried up the river that an enormous area of gold-bearing drift hitherto hidden is now exposed.
