CANTERBURY SHEEP RETURNS.
+ Christuhukch, August 10. This year's sheep returns for Canterbury, Kaikoura and Amuri show a total of 4,718,000, being a decrease of 55,000 from last. This occurs entirely south of Rangitata, and is due to the extreme severity of the winter last season. North of Rangitata the total has increased by 42,000. — ~— ■————» — <
