Afc Wanganui the members of the Jockey Club elect the handicapper afc bhe annual meeting, and the other day when the question of Mr Evett being re-apDointed came up, there appears to have been a pretty lively discuFbion. The outcome of it was that Mr jL Higgie was appointed to the post at a salary of £50 per annum. j
