Champion G. and S, Minos : Mr Juhn.-ton, contractor for the erection of the aerial tramway, is making very rapii progiess with the woik in hand. Already the whole of the wire rope (the coils contained over 8000 feet c ich), is laid along the whole length of the line, teady to he placed in no^irion. The buckets ( which will confc.un about 25ulbs of oid m hi y quartz, and pmb.ibly, if filled, fully double the weight of galena ore), are now being carted out. A number of man are engaged on the works, and Mr Johnston expects to have the tnvn running within a fortnight.
