' At a meeting of town members this forenoon, it was stated that Messrs Humphries, Grey, Withy, Ballance, and i Ross, would speak to-night against the Representation Bill, and also that eleven former adherents of the Government had renounced their allegiance in consequence of the introduotion of this Treasure, and t would support » no-confidence motion if tabled by Mr Ballance. Mr Jelliooe, solicitor, having- been refuted a private interview with Chetnis (qnder sentenoo of death), intends to apply to Hie Excellency direot for permission.
