TUBERCULOSIS.
Replying to a question by Mr Marchanb yesterday, the Minister of Lands said that the Government had had under consideration the report of the Royal Commission at Home on the subject of tuberculosis, and that they were aware that the disease did exist to a limited extent in this country. In order to deal with it and with similar diseases here they were resuscitating cattle boards, upon which powers would be conferred to enable them to qompe) the destruction ol diseased cattle, Compensation would be payable not exceeding 30s per head, animals under 6 months old not to be paid for.
