CUSTOMS RETURNS.

Messrs Mitchelson, Golclie and Withy waited upon the Premier yesterday with reference to the Customs returns. At present exports are credited in these returns to the port which they last leave, thus goods shipped by a direct steamer at Auckland are credited to the port which the steamer last calls at, a most unfair proceeding. The Premier promised the deputation to have this order of things changed and credit given whcio credit is due.
