The wot weather prevented the usual numbers of cattle, from being brought to tl c markets held at Pukekoho and Papakura. Dairy cows were dull of sale, and several were withdrawn ; other classes of cattle were sold at late \ a ues. At Remuera, on Thursday, during the auction, it rained heavily, and atlected the attendance. Dairy cows, plentiful, bi ought from £3 to £5 10* each. The steers advertised were withdrawn, there being no bidding for them, and store cattle generally wore dull of sac. Fat calves were at extreme values. Fat cattle, consequent on an unexpected arrival of a shipment, in full numbers. At first pr cos ranged from 15s to to ,163 the' 1001b, but fell as the sale proceeded, and occasioned the- withdrawal of a few pens, when prices again rallied. - Sheep were in usual supply, and firm at last week's values.
