WELLINGTON, Last Ni^hfc. The Financial Statement is to be delivered at this evening's sitting. The Public Works Statement is ready for the consideration of the Cabinet, and is ex pected to be brought; dowM insido a fortnight. The new Electoral Bill provides' for Auckland,' district returning 16 members ; Wellington, Hawkes Bay, and Tarajiaki, 15 members ; Nelson, Marl borough, Canterbury^ and Westland, "with Chatham Island, 20 members ; Otago arid, Southland,' with Stewarts Tsland, 18 members, Prom time to time as each triennial election takes place, the number of members assigned to each district will vary according to the census.
