The following pi ices were obtained : — Steers, medium weights, brought £4 10-. to £4 15s each, equal to 1 3s to 14s per 1001 b8 ; heifers sold nt £2 15b to £3 2s Gil each, equal to 12s to 13s per 1 001 bs ; cows, £2 I7s 6d. equal to 10s to 11s per lOOlbs. oheep market : Bidding brisk ; ewes selling at 10a to 12s 9d each : No w ethers yuided.

Above 800 hides were sold at the following prices :—: — Ox hides, weighing from 50 to 601b, 3£d to 4^d ; from 601b to 701b, 4d to 4 7-1 6 d ; from 701b to 801b, 4}d to 4 13-16 d ; 901b to lOOlbs, 4£d the \h, or from 23s to 30s eflch; ; green ox hides, from 22s 6d to 25a 9d each ; cow hides, 2sd and 2f d the lb ; greun cow hides, 12s 3d ench ; tallow, 14a 9d to 35s 6d each ; bones, 4s Od the cwt ; butchers' sheep skins, 3s to 5s each ; station skins, Is to 4s each. At Remtient, on Thursday, dairy cows were yarded plentifully. Prices lower, and many remained unsold. Those sold realised from £2 15s to £62s6deach. Storecattleatlate values. Dry cows from 25s to 40s ; three -year-old steers, £2 12s ; 3'earlinw- heifers, 20s each. Veal calves (short of requirements) obtained the high values ruling last wt- ok. Fat cattle in iiKual Btipply. Steeis ranged from I6s to 17s ; cows, Hs to 15s the 1001b. Sheep, in short supply, advanced in value from Ik to 2a each. Fat lambs shared in the ndvanced prices. Pigs abundant, mostly of large size, nnd being required, better prices were obtained thnn for a month past..
