NEW GOLD FIND. ANOTHER RUSH TO MERCURY BAY. GROUND PEGGED OUT FOR MILES. Thames, June 19.
A traveller who has just returned from Coromandel, via Tairua, states fchab a find which promises to bo of some importance has been made between Whangapa and Whibianga. The discovory was made 'by a Maori named C. (Juffen. and ib is said he has been offered a bidy liblle sum for an interest in his claim. No details as to si/.e or quality of fcho reef are to hand beyond - that excellent dish' prospects are obtainable. A great many miners have gone over from the Tokatea, and ground has been pegged out ior some miles. No doubb something more definite will come bo hand in a few days, as some Thames miners have al&o lefb for the locality.
