Supplies for tho four weeks to dato are only 400 tons, and for the year to dato, 1,070 tons loss than the supply for the corresponding period of 1888. East Coast surplios are 300 tons for the month as against 469 tons for the same period last yeai*. Auckland, June 15. Messrs Arthur and Buddles Weekly Re port.— ln the early part ot tho week business was interrupted by the very stormy weather. Tho supply of produce, fruit, etc., was very small. An improvement took place on Friday, ■when tho supply of produce Avas good. A large quantity of fruit was entered and disposed of. Poultry was entered in good numbers. Fowls brought a better average than last week, so did turkeys. Ducks did not sell quite so high. No geese entered ; there was a demand. Pigs were entered in large number, and all sold at fair prices. Seven sales by auction have been held. On Monday and Thursday, drapery and clothing at the mart. The attendance was good ; tair competition. A large business done at satisfactory* prices. Tuesday and Friday, poultry, produce, fruit, &c, at the mart. Wednesday, furniture, &c., at the mart ; a good attendance, fairly brisk bidding. A good business was done. Thursday, furniture, &c, at private houses in Summer - street. Ponsonby, and in Harding-street; both well attended, but prices ruled in favour of the buyers. Loose hay has brought from 2s 9d to 4s 3d ; oaten sheaves, 3s 3d to 3s 9d the cwt ; chart", 65s to 80s the ton ; oats, 2s 8d to 3s Id ; maize, 3s 2d tho bushel. On Friday a less number of horses than usual wore sold, but good animals kept their values. An active draught horse realised £18 10s ; light harness and riding horses, £7 to £15 10s ; inferior from 40s upwards ; spring carts, £7 and £7 10s ; a light, waggon. £22 ; harness, £5. On Tuesday hides and skins were pitched in lai'ger numbers than usual. Prices were well maintained. Best ox hides brought 4Jd to 5d the Ib, or from 25s to 3os each; cow hides, 2]d to 31d, or from 123 9d to 15s each. Tallow, 16s ; bones, 4s 6d the cwt ; butchers' shcep&kins, 3s lOd to 4s 4d ; station s<uns, lOd to 4s 8d each. At Remuern, on Thursday, dairy cows in full milk or near calving were in deI mand at full vnlucs. Prices obtained ranged from £4 5s to £7. Store cattle dull of sale : tat cattle, in full number, were required, and prices advanced. Steers ranged from 16s to 18s ; cows, 12s to 15s tho 1001b ; calves were also in domand, and sold -well. Shoop, in usual supply, were without alteration in price, and pigs, in limited number, sold satisfactorily. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Wef.ici.y Report. — Horsefeed, grain, seeds, etc.: Supplies have been ample, and the demand steady, with little alteration in value. We quote Feed oats. 3s 3d ; maize, 3s to 3s 3d per bushel ; chan", £3 10s per ton. Horses: There has been a moderate supply and steady demand for those of an ordinary stamp. Good draught and upstanding light horses would have found ready purchasers. About the usual numbor were submitted by auction on Friday at the Durham Yards. There was steady, all-round competition. There was a marked improvement in tho demand for both medium and heavy draught stock. We quote: Hacks, from £5 5s to £12 ; light harness horses.from £6 to il2 los ; medium draught, from £6 to £t4 10s. Wool, hides, and. skins: Rather large quantities were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, and the competition was brisk throughout. We quote: Ox hides, 3d to 5d per lb ; cow hides, 2Jd to 3}d; calfskins, 3&d to 4kl: sheepskins, 2s to 4s Id; pelts, Is to Is lid. Cattle: There has been, great vitality in rhe market. A good many of all descriptions have been brought forward, and found ready purchasers. Dairy cows at their profit at fully the previous week's value, and fat beasts at an advance of fully 10s per head. There was a good muster both at Newmarket on Tuesday, and Pukekohe on Wednesday. The competition was good for all descriptions, but there were no noteworthy alterations in the value of dairy or store stock. Some averages were. Steers, £5 ss, £5 13s 6d, £6 ss. £7 12s 6d : cows, £3 17s 6d, £4 2s 6d, £4 7s 6d, £6256 d. Sheep' There was but a moderate muster at Newmarket on Tuesday ; the demand was brisk at the previous week's value. Wethers sold at from 12s to lls 9d each ; ewes, 7s 3d to 13s 9d each ; mixed, from 12s 3d to 14s. Pigs" A good many Averc yarded, but being rough, prices ruled in favour of the purchaser, ranging from lAd to 3d per lb live weight.
