The Jury state in their Report : — " It is very satisfactory to be able to note in this connection that thee was a remaikable concensus o£ opinion as to the merits of the exhibits, often amounting to unanimity, and this even when the members were blinded, which was frequently done. Many of the ales of all kinds were veiy fine, and those which weie' off' weie such as were very unlikely to have taken n place in any case ; in fact, the survival of the fittest has been eiructed by natural selection."
