AN ISLAND TRAGEDY. A CAPTAIN MURDERED BY HIS SUPERCARGO. Sydney, June 3.
Information has been received from Fiji that a man named Weaver, who occupied the position of supercargo on the schooner Colonist, murdered Captain Greenless, master of that vessel, by shooting him three times while the vessel was at Havannah Harbour. Weaver was court - marlialled on board H.M.S. Opal, and sent for trial to Fiji.
