The Duke Michael is returning to Servia.

Tho Irish delegates are actively continuing their mission in Victoria. Sir T. Esmondo and Mr Deasy addressed a large meeting of Irishmen at North Melbourne, advocating the claims of their mission. They mob with a cordial reception. About £150 was subscribed. It was stated that up to date the deleeates had obtained £6,502. Respecting the charge brought by Mr John Deasy against the postal departments of Melbourne and Adelaide of opening letters addressed to him, Mr Johnstnn, the Minister controlling the postal department of South Australia, telegraphed to Mr O'Connor as follows :—": — " If Mr Deasy states that his letters have been tampered with by the Adelaide postal authorities, his allegation is abso'utely and unequivocally untrue."

The " Sydney Daily Telegraph," of Tuesday, May 14, devotes a favourable leading article and four columns of ifcs space to the speech of M«* John Dillon, one of the Irish Home Rule delegated- The " Telegraph " states it was one of the' largest meetings ever hold in Sydney, which is all the more remarkable from the 'fact that the meeting was held at two o'clock in the afternoon. Amongst those present on the platform were Sir John Robertson, Mr D. O'Connor (Postmaster Ganeral), and twentytwo members of Parliament. A sum of £2,000 was raised at the meeting.
