Colonist G. M. Co. : The annual meeting of the Colonist Ooldmining Company was held at the office of the legal manager, Mr D. G. MacDonnell, Auckland, on Weduesd »y last ; Mr J. M. Clavk in the chair. The directors' report ami balance- sheet, were adopted. The report stated that there had boon a considerable improvement in the mine, and the prospects of the company were very favourable. The reef averaged from three to seven feet in thickness, and there were now 150 (ons of ore awaiting treatment. The balance-sheet showed the receipts to be £6GB 3s 2d, and the expenditure £656 7s lid. The assets, exclusive of 150 tons of ore now to grass, amounted to £57 lls Bd, and tha liabilities to £44 7s Sd. The retiring: direotors. Messrs S. B. Firth and J F. Clark, were re-elected ; also the auditor, Mr R. Mackay.
