THE WOLF AT RUSSELL. EN ROUTE FOR SAMOA. Russell, May 27.
The German gunboat Wolf, Commander Credncr, ai rived from Brisbane yesterday morning at 9 o'clok. She left Brisbane on thel6bh,andhadlightnorth toeasterly winds across. She is a composite gunboat, carrying four Krupp and five HotclikieS guns, and a cre»v ot officers and men numbering eighty-two. Two of the Krupp guns are 12 cenfcimetero and No. 8 centre bore. The Hotchkiss guns are German made. She has been to China, Japan and Batavia since she has been in this commission. Her offieera are Commander Credner, Ist Lieutenant Dunbar, 2nd Lieutenauts St. Hamer and Behncher, Dr. Hohenberg, Paymaster Lange. The Royalist and Swinger men-of-war wore at Brisbane when she left. She is coaling at Opua and w ill leave early on Tuesday mom ing for Samoa.
